We spray corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa and pasture across the state with a Talos T60x spray drone: a 15-gallon tank, a 26-foot swath, and GPS-planned passes flown 6 to 10 feet above the canopy. Every job starts with your field boundary and your product. We pull the field up on a satellite map, outline exactly what gets sprayed, and confirm the product, rate and carrier volume with you or your agronomist against the label. On spray day we check wind, temperature and the forecast, then fly the planned passes at a steady height and speed. Propeller downwash pushes the spray down into the canopy, which is why a drone can work at 2 to 5 gallons per acre where a ground rig runs 10 to 20.
Ground rigs are the cheapest per acre on a big, dry, square field, and an airplane is fastest on a wall-to-wall section. A drone wins everywhere else: wet springs, terraced and irregular fields, small acreage under an airplane minimum, borders, and fungicide or insecticide passes in tall crop. Many Nebraska growers use all three, and we will tell you honestly when your field is a better fit for the rig or the plane.
Agricultural spraying is priced per acre treated, so you pay for the acres we actually spray, not the whole field. Rates move with the season and demand, so every job gets a written quote. What goes into it:

There is no acreage minimum. Every job carries a trip minimum, so a very small job (a 2-acre patch, say) is usually cheaper with a backpack or pull-behind sprayer. Fields from a few dozen acres up, and pivot corners, borders and small fields an airplane won't take, are where a drone pays off.

It depends on the acres, the product, the timing and demand that week, so we quote every job in writing. A hired ground rig is usually cheaper per acre on paper, but drones typically use less product and leave no wheel tracks, which closes much of the gap.

Most liquid herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and foliar fertilizers whose labels allow aerial application. We check the label before every job and work with your agronomist on rate and carrier volume.
For most foliar products, yes. Propeller downwash drives spray into the canopy, so drones get good coverage at 2 to 5 gallons per acre. For products whose labels call for higher carrier volumes, we will say so and recommend the right equipment.
Most fields within 24 to 48 hours of the call, weather permitting. During the busiest fungicide weeks, call as early as you can.
